Primary goal: Update the look and content of the bi-monthly member only magazine from the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota
Tertiary goals: Setup a template to be used by magazine designers for future issues
The Preservation Alliance of Minnesota was looking for a new design for their bi-monthly member-only magazine. The previous design had served the organization well for over ten years with pre-printed paper stock and a one color print run.
The new design uses a four-color digital press cover with grayscale interior pages. It also uses the typeface Adobe Jenson Pro for readable text and flair of historical typography.
The resulting design has been noticed nationally within the preservation community, helping to firmly give the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota a place at the national table.
After re-designing the magazine I stayed on as a member of the magazine editing team from November 2006 through October 2008.
